Maldon Promenaders

The ability to sing and dance is not a pre-requisite for joining the Maldon Promenaders, but the ability to have fun is!
Members of the Maldon Promenaders come from all walks of life.

There are no Stars in the Maldon Promenaders. Everyone is equal, although some, may be more equal than others.

How it all Started

The group began as part of the Plume School Parent Teachers Association. Calling themselves ‘The Plume Players’’. They staged their first show in October 1982, in support of school funds. The show was so successful and great fun, it became an annual event.
As their children matured into adults and left the school, their links with the school faded. They renamed themselves the "Maldon Promenaders" and continued staging annual shows in support of local charities.
The Maldon Promenaders continue to be dedicated to entertaining the people of Maldon with their shows, raising much needed funds for local charities,  and supporting the local community. Over the years, they have raised many thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Dedicated to raising much needed funds for local charities, while entertaining the people of Maldon through Song and Dance, but most importantly, having fun in the process.
